The Amarok is a pick-up where cab variant, loading platform, towing capacity and off-road use are important selection points. Caravelle and Multivan versions are more focused on passenger transport; check the number of seats, seat rails, climate control and registration category there.
For older Transporter generations, designations such as T5, T6 and T6.1 are commonly used. Always check the actual year of manufacture and generation, because the version and technology within the same model name can differ greatly.
